When is the race?

The Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022. The We Are Houston 5K presented by Aramco and Chevron will take place on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.

I deferred my 2021 registration, what are my options for the 2022 event?

When you deferred your registration during the cancellation options period for the 2021 event, that guaranteed you a complementary entry for either the 2022 or 2023 event*. Registration is now open. All deferred entries for the 2022 event must be claimed by Sept. 1, 2021 or event sellout - whichever occurs first. *Runners who claim

What is your cancellation policy?

All Houston Marathon Committee event fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event you are unable to participate, for any reason, you will not receive a refund.

Why is a refund option not available?

The Houston Marathon Committee is a not-for-profit organization and has a strict no refund policy. The no refund policy is listed on our website, and you are required to check a box and sign that you agree to this policy on your registration form. Please feel free to contact us with additional questions.

Can I transfer my bib to another person?

No, the Houston Marathon does not allow the transfer of registrations. Registered runners who give their bib to another person and the person to whom the bib is given will be disqualified and prohibited from participating in subsequent Houston Marathon events for a minimum of two years.

Can I switch my registration from one race to another?

Switch Categories (i.e Races) If you are registered for the marathon or half marathon, for a fee, you may switch to a different race category (i.e. from the marathon to the half marathon or 5K, or from the half marathon to the marathon or 5K). All switches must be completed by the deadline listed below.*
