Media Credentials

We thank you for your interest in covering the 2026 Houston Marathon Weekend of Events* including the Chevron Houston Marathon, the Aramco Houston Half Marathon and the We Are Houston 5K presented by Aramco and Chevron. The media staff at the Houston Marathon Committee is dedicated to providing media with the best possible work environment. We look forward to working with you to make your experience a positive one.

General information for applying (Please read carefully):

1. Only working members of the media will be approved for media credentials.
2. The deadline to submit this application is November 30, 2025.
3. We cannot guarantee space for anyone who does not submit a credential application by the deadline.
4. All correspondence related to your applications should be emailed to Media@houstonmarathon.com.
5. Upon review and approval of an application by the Houston Marathon Committee, approved media outlets will be issued a letter of acceptance. Media credentials may be picked up at the Media Center during media accreditation hours (Friday, January 9, 2026: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST and Saturday January 10, 2026: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. CST).

The Houston Marathon Committee will make the final decision on all credential applications based on space available and the individual publication. NOTE: Past approval of credentials to the Chevron Houston Marathon Race Weekend of Events does not guarantee a credential to the 2026 Houston Marathon Weekend of Events.

The Houston Marathon Committee reserves the right to limit credentials for freelance journalists.

Upon Approval

• You will receive a confirmation letter via email
• Accredited media members will be required to pick up their pre-approved media credentials at the Media Center located inside the Hilton Americas Hotel (1600 Lamar St.) on the third floor in the Ballroom of Americas Hall D during Media Accreditation Hours – see below for hours of operation
• A valid photo ID and/or media affiliation identification will be required to pick up credentials
• No media credentials will be mailed. If you are unable to pick up your credential during the published hours, please contact the Houston Marathon Committee at media@houstonmarathon.com to arrange a special credential pick up time

Internet

Wireless Internet Access will be available in the Houston Marathon Media Center.

Parking

If you would like to request parking accommodations for race day, Sunday, Jan. 11, please email media@houstonmarathon.com – parking passes are issued on a first come first serve basis.

No media credentials will be issued on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Credentials are required to enter the GRB, Hilton Americas Media Center and race start and finish line areas on race days. Please contact media@houstonmarathon.com with any questions.
