Carly Caulfield – General Manager & Managing Director, Operations

Carly Caulfield first arrived at the Houston Marathon Committee in October of 2000 and is the longest tenured employee on staff. During her time at the Houston Marathon Committee, Caulfield has been responsible for virtually every aspect of customer-facing race operations, including registration, results, volunteers, pre- and post-race participant services, course operations, start line, finish line and public safety operations. In May of 2018 Caulfield was promoted to her current role, where she serves as part of the executive leadership team and heads the operations department on a day-to-day basis, overseeing all aspects of race day event operations. She designed new race routes for the marathon and half marathon events in 2014, and was awarded the Industry Leader Under 40 Award by the National Center for Sports Safety and Security in 2016. While with the HMC, Caulfield completed a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Houston – Downtown and an Executive MBA program at the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, where she was selected as the Outstanding Student for the her class, a peer-nominated award.
