Amanda Sandoval – Director, Participant Services

Amanda Sandoval joined the Houston Marathon Committee in August of 2009 and in May of 2019 was promoted to director of participant services, where she currently leads the participant services department on a day-to-day basis. In addition, she is responsible for race day results, technology, accommodations and legal for the organization.

Before arriving at the HMC, Sandoval worked as the operations manager for CASA of Central Texas where she assisted in coordinating volunteer programs, fundraising and special events. She was also responsible for grant allocations and acquisitions to donors and funding programs.

Sandoval graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications in 2004. She then earned her MBA from Texas State University – San Marcos in 2008. Sandoval has completed various road race distances and is active in her Camp Gladiator endeavors.
