Carly Caulfield – Senior Director, Operations
Carly Caulfield first arrived at the Houston Marathon Committee in October of 2000 as the office administrator and is the longest tenured employee on staff. In the spring of 2003, she moved to manager of operations and in May of 2007 she was promoted to director of operations. In May of 2016 Caulfield was promoted to senior director of operations, where she currently leads the operations department on a day-to-day basis, overseeing all aspects of race day event operations. She designed new race routes for the marathon and half marathon events in 2014, and was awarded the Industry Leader Under 40 Award by the National Center for Sports Safety and Security in June of 2016.
During her time at the Houston Marathon Committee, Caulfield has been responsible for virtually every aspect of customer-facing race operations, including registration, results, pre- and post-race participant services, course operations, start line, finish line and security operations. While with the HMC, Caulfield completed a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Houston – Downtown and an Executive MBA program at University of Houston main campus, where she was selected as the Outstanding Student for the class of 2016, a peer-nominated award.
