HOUSTON (Nov. 13, 2013) – The Houston Marathon Committee announced on Wednesday the partners in their 2014 We Are Houston program, a partnership of 15 Houston area corporations that serve to underwrite production costs of the 2014 Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon and ABB 5K.

“On behalf of the Houston Marathon Committee, we thank the We Are Houston partners for their financial support of our annual event” said Steven Karpas, HMC’s Managing Director, Business Development & Marketing. “Through their generosity, the Chevron Houston Marathon race weekend of events will produce $50 million of economic impact and raise over $2 million for charity, while showcasing the City of Houston to an international audience.”

The 2014 We Are Houston partners include Chevron, Aramco Services Company, ABB, Bank of Texas, Memorial Hermann, HEB, Houston First Corporation, Harris County Houston Sports Authority, Precision Drilling, Swift Worldwide Resources, Silver Eagle Distributors, Waste Management, King & Spalding Law, Superior Energy Services and Calpine Corporation.
