Thank you for your interest in covering the next Houston Marathon Weekend of Events, including the Chevron Houston Marathon, the Aramco Houston Half Marathon, and the We Are Houston 5K presented by Aramco and Chevron. The Houston Marathon Committee is dedicated to providing media with the best possible work environment, information, and services. Please review the information below and contact media@houstonmarathon.com with any questions.

Media credentials must be requested using the application below. The application for the 2027 event will open in October 2026. The deadline to submit this application is November 30, 2026. We cannot guarantee space for anyone who does not submit by the deadline.

Only working members of the media will be approved for media credentials. The Houston Marathon Committee will make the final decision on all credential applications based on the individual publication and space available. The Houston Marathon Committee reserves the right to limit credentials for freelance journalists and photographers. Past approval of a credential application does not guarantee a credential to the current Houston Marathon Weekend of Events. A new application must be submitted every year.

Upon review and approval of an application by the Houston Marathon Committee, approved media outlets will be issued a letter of acceptance. Media credentials must be picked up at the Media Center during media accreditation hours (Friday, January 15, 2027: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST and Saturday, January 16, 2027: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. CST). A valid photo ID and/or media affiliation identification will be required to pick up credentials. Media credentials cannot be mailed.
