Paloma Suter – Manager, Volunteer and Event Services, Operations

Paloma Suter joined the Houston Marathon Committee in September 2016. Her primary role is to oversee the volunteer program, from recruiting to race day management.

Suter comes from a fundraising and event management background, primarily in college athletics. She started her career during her undergraduate studies in the development office at the University of Cincinnati’s athletic department, where she was tasked with ticket sales, scholarship fundraising and donor events. Upon her graduation, she accepted a similar job with Texas Tech University’s ticket office. After 7 months in Lubbock, the University of Cincinnati recruited Suter to return to manage and train the student sales team and assist with the $86M capital campaign for their football stadium renovations. In addition, Suter planned and managed various stewardship events during game-days to maximize fan engagement.

In 2015, Suter moved back to Texas as a fundraiser for a nonprofit, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where she coordinated the logistics of fundraising events while securing sponsorships through various business development techniques.

Suter graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s in Business Administration with a marketing concentration. A native Colombian, she claims Texas as home.
