Jennifer Good
Age: 44
Hometown: Waco, TX
Occupation: Professor, Baylor University
Marathons Completed: 5

Jennifer Good associates running with good memories and family jogging time with her parents. During her early years, Jennifer Good would occasionally run a 5K or 10K. She did not become serious about training and running marathons until 2009.

Good enjoys running with Waco Galloway Training, a local group in Waco. Cameron Park is one of her favorite spots to run. Running not only allows her to feel good mentally and physically, but it is a way to challenge herself.

“Traveling doggedly on the road of a training program and then finishing a marathon feels amazing,” said Good.

Running the Chevron Houston Marathon will be a first for Good, but she is looking forward to the atmosphere of race day and the course itself. She is thrilled about watching the U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon; looking for inspiration to help her during her race. “I think anyone of that speed is a superhero!”

She will have the support of her family on race day, as well as friends who are also entered in the marathon. Good’s main goal is to finish the race strong, with a smile on her face.
