Ellen Bankhead – Manager, Office Administration

Ellen Bankhead manages office administration, finance, customer service, special events and programs such as the Legacy and Hall of Fame groups.

Carly Caulfield first arrived at the Houston Marathon Committee in October of 2000. In 2016, Caulfield was promoted to senior director of operations.

Erin Kasperek manages the We Are Houston RunFest and HOOPLA programs and also oversees the Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason charity program.

Kate Klein – Director, Business Development and Marketing

Kate Klein – Director, Business Development and Marketing

Kate Klein leads the business and community development department and is responsible for managing sponsorships, branding, and experiential marketing for the Chevron Houston Marathon race weekend.

Erin McGowan is responsible for managing legal affairs for the Houston Marathon, the elite athlete programs and overseeing participant services for the events.

Wade Morehead – Executive Director

Wade Morehead – Executive Director

Wade Morehead, Executive Director of the Houston Marathon Committee and the Houston Marathon Foundation, has 20 years of sports operations and event management experience.

Mike Root – Senior Manager, Course Operations

Mike Root – Senior Manager, Course Operations

Mike Root is responsible for race day course operations and has a 20-year volunteer for the Houston Marathon Committee.

Amanda Sandoval – Senior Manager, Participant Services

Amanda Sandoval – Senior Manager, Participant Services

Amanda Sandoval is responsible for participant services, including registration, packet pick-up, technology and results. She also manages the legacy program and accommodations for the event.

Nathan Schaffer – Manager, Venue Operations

Nathan Schaffer – Manager, Venue Operations

Nathan Schaffer is responsible for pre- and post-race participants services areas in the GRB Convention Center and he designs and oversees the security perimeter.

Paloma Suter – Manager, Volunteer and Event Services, Operations

Paloma Suter's primary role is to oversee the volunteer program, from recruiting to race day management.

Ally Walker helped build the foundation from its inception to an organization that has now reinvested over $1 million dollars back into the greater Houston running community.

Kristin Wolters – Senior Manager, Marketing and Sponsor Services

Kristin Wolters manages the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute EXPO, branding and graphic design elements of the event, and sponsor activation over race weekend.
