The Chevron Houston Marathon is recognized as the nation’s premier volunteer supported marathon. Each year, 7,500 dedicated volunteers help staff Houston’s largest single-day sporting event. Our volunteers work hard to create the best race weekend experience and atmosphere for runners and fans.
We have volunteer opportunities available year-round from recruiting HOOPLA and assisting with post-race party details to working the EXPO and handing out water to the 22,000 race day participants. And with a variety of positions available, there is sure to be one that interests you! So whether you are running in the race or supporting a family member or friend, we have a volunteer position for you!
As a valued volunteer, you'll receive a Chevron Houston Marathon volunteer T-shirt, invitation to the post-race volunteer banquet, and best of all, the pride of helping others!

If you are interested in volunteering for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon Team Trials, please email volunteers@houstonmarathon.com.
