Technology
The
Chevron Houston Marathon,
Aramco Houston Half Marathon and
EP5K offer a variety of technological perks that help participants, friends and family have a more enjoyable race experience. Here are short descriptions of a few of these offerings.
Athlete Alerts
Friends and family members will be able to sign
up online to receive email or text message alerts showing a runner's
progress in real time as he or she completes the course. This allows
spectators to keep track of participants on the course so that they can
know when and where to be to support their runners.
Map Tracking
During the race, spectators will be able to log on
to our website to view a map showing where their selected participants
are on the course. Spectators can track multiple participants on the
map, seeing their progress in real-time as they move along the course.
Searchable Online Results
A searchable database of online results showing clock time, gun time, splits, pace and placement will be available on our website. These results are updated in real-time during the race with split and finish times, as well as a list of the current leading runners. After the race, this database gives participants the opportunity to look up their official times, compare their results to those of friends and family, and show off their accomplishment.

Graphic Results
In addition to the Searchable Online Results, we offer online Graphic Results, which include even more information on placement, pacing, finish order, average speed and more. The Graphic Results show all of this information in an easy-to-understand visual format, and will be posted on our website after the race.
