The 2014 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon will have a protected cap of 25,000 participants. Of the 25,000-participant field, 13,000 entries are reserved for the marathon and 12,000 for the half marathon.
The time limit for completing the marathon is six hours. Participants that finish over the six hour time limit (based on your chip time) are not considered official finishers.
Participants must be at least 12 years old on race day to register for the marathon.
Per USATF rules, gun time is used to determine prize money winners and time bonus recipients. Chip time is used to determine all age-group winners and other award recipients. Unofficial results will include gun and chip time.
Both gun and chip time results are sent to the Boston Athletic Association which accepts chip time as a qualifying time. Qualification times earned at our 2014 marathon will be valid for 2014 and 2015 Boston entry. Qualification times earned at our 2013 marathon are valid for 2014 Boston entry.
Please direct all Boston Marathon registration questions to the Boston Marathon organization.
All registered participants will receive a participation T-shirt at packet pick-up. All official marathon finishers will receive a finisher shirt, medal and mug in the GRB. Uncollected finisher shirts, medals and mugs will not be mailed.
