The fun run is limited to 5,000 participants.
Three races will be held starting at 8 a.m., with children grouped according to age. Race day volunteers will lead participants to the starting line from the interior of the George R. Brown Convention Center.
All participants must check into their respective areas Saturday morning by 8 a.m. Each child’s check-in station will be highlighted in his or her race packet. |

The 2009 Texas Children's Hospital Kids’ Fun run is a 2-mile, non-competitive event for children ages 5 to 15, including those with special needs.
The run is supported by the City of Houston, the Chevron Houston Marathon and 25 independent school districts. A 12-week training program to prepare children of all abilities for participating in the race will be available in early summer 2007. |

The event is Saturday, January 17, 2009, from 8 a.m. to noon at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, Texas 77010.

Texas Children’s Hospital invites children ages 5 to 15 (K - 8), including those with special needs, to participate in the hospital’s 11th annual 3K fun run.
Children of all abilities and/or with special needs are encouraged to participate in the fun run’s first race held on a shorter course. |

The 2009 race is the kickoff event for the Chevron Houston Marathon weekend. The race course covers a portion of the actual marathon course and all participants finish their run by crossing the official Chevron Houston Marathon finish line. |
 |
|
$10.00 per child. Registration includes a commemorative t-shirt and admission to the Kids' Expo open immediately after the first race. |
 |
|
Race fees will be waived for schools registering student groups. Coaches and chaperones must accompany school groups. To register your school, email kidsruninfo@texaschildrens.org. |

|
Everyone wins in the Texas Children’s Hospital Kids’ Fun Run. Each participant receives a medal and a water bottle immediately after crossing the finish line. |
