The 3K and 1K event is the kickoff to the Chevron Houston Marathon weekend giving all participants the opportunity to cross the official marathon finish line. At the Texas Children's Hospital Kids' Fun Run, every kid is a winner as they learn that fitness can be fun, a lesson that will last a lifetime.

The event is Saturday, January 29, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.
All children ages 5-15 years (K-8), including children with special needs, are invited to participate in the 3K Run or Walk. Children with special needs may also choose to participate in the 1K Adaptive Run or Walk.
Check back later this year to register. The event is limited to 5,000 participants.
The 2011 Kids' Fun Run is the kickoff event for the Chevron Houston Marathon weekend. The race course covers a portion of the actual marathon course and all participants finish their run by crossing the official Chevron Houston Marathon finish line.
Registration for the 2010 run was $10.00 and includes a Fun Run T-shirt, commemorative medal and admission to the Kids' Fun Run Expo.
Race fees will be waived for schools registering student groups K-8th grade. Coaches and chaperones must accompany school groups. To register your group, please contact funruninfo@texaschildrens.org.
