Memorial Park Conservancy is currently undergoing a large-scale plan to improve the health and sustainablity of the Park forest. This Forestry Conservation and Management Plan will aid the Conservancy and Houston Parks and Recreation Department in establishing long-term programs that will help all aspects of the park including trails, gardens and green space. The Conservancy will work to educate park users and the community on the efforts to maintain and support Memorial Park.
Memorial Park Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation of the native habitat of Memorial Park for future generations; to the public use, enjoyment and education in accordance with conditions of the conveyance to the city by the Hogg family; and to the on-going support of the Houston Parks Department.
