Cade's Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose purpose is to find a cure for pediatric liver disease. We are so excited to be a part of Run for a Reason 2011. Cade's Foundation was started in 2003 when Cade was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a form of liver disease whose only cure is liver transplantation. During this time we learned there was no foundation or organization dedicated solely to pediatric liver disease. Cade received his new liver at the age of 1 and today he is a happy and healthy 7 year old.
All donations are directed to research and educational efforts to find a cure for liver disease in children. Run for Cade's Cause has grown from 1 runner in 2004, raising $7,000 to 27 runners in 2010, raising $42,000. This year we hope to continue this growth and raise our goal of $50,000. With your help, and generosity, we can find a cure for pediatric liver disease.
